The Pochette Métis is a compact messenger bag: a flap fastened with Louis Vuitton's S-lock clasp, a top handle and an adjustable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand, on the shoulder or across the body. Monogram canvas and Monogram Reverse, which swaps the light and dark tones of the pattern, are the best-known versions. Empreinte, a soft leather with the Monogram embossed into it, is the plainer alternative. Beside the core shape, the line has grown variations such as the East West.
