About Worth the Bag
Worth the Bag is a price index for luxury handbags in Europe. For each bag we track, it shows the best new price in your country, what the bag costs preloved, how much of its retail price it holds, how its price has changed over time, and what it really costs to own once you subtract what you could sell it for.
Why we built it
Anyone buying a luxury bag in Europe runs into the same questions. Is it cheaper in another country? How often does the brand raise its prices? What does a preloved one cost, and what would mine fetch later? The answers are scattered across boutique price lists, retailer pages, resale platforms and blog posts, most of them undated and often focused on the US.
Nobody publishes per-country, timestamped prices together with European resale values for each model. So we collect them, put them in one place, date every number and publish our methodology in full.
What you can rely on
- Every price carries its source and the time we last saw it. Prices we have not seen for 48 hours are hidden.
- Every score shows its sample size and data window. Without at least 10 preloved listings in 90 days, we show no score.
- Offers are sorted by price. Commissions never change the order or any figure.
- We describe the past and the present. We do not forecast prices, and a bag is not a financial product.
Who runs it
Worth the Bag is run by Loistava Holding UG (haftungsbeschränkt). The site is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any brand shown. It is funded by affiliate commissions from retailers and resale platforms, as explained in our affiliate disclosure.
