About this bag
The Bobby is named after Christian Dior's dog, Bobby. Its rounded half-moon outline sets it apart from the more structured bags in the line, and it closes with a CD clasp on the front flap. A wide shoulder strap lets it be worn on the shoulder or across the body. It comes in several sizes and in a choice of leathers and colours that changes over time. New, it is sold only in Dior boutiques and through Dior's own online store where it operates, so the New section on this page shows the boutique price with its source and date. On the preloved market, the condition of the curved edges and of the strap decides much of the asking price.
Questions
Where is the Dior Bobby sold new?
Only by Dior: in its boutiques and through its own online store in the countries where it operates. Multi-brand retailers do not sell new Dior bags. The New section above shows the boutique price with its source and the date it was recorded.
What should I look for in a preloved Bobby?
Grades used here are New with tags, Excellent, Very good, Good and Fair. The curved edges and the bottom of the half-moon rub first, so check them closely, along with the CD clasp for scratches. The wide strap should be included and clean. Dust bag, box and receipt complete the set.
What drives the Bobby's resale value?
Size, material and colour come first, with neutral leathers the steadiest part of the market. Worn edges, a stained strap and scratched hardware lower asking prices, and a missing strap removes the crossbody option. Boutique availability plays a role as well, and the Preloved section shows the spread by condition.
How is the Bobby's true cost worked out?
We take the best new price in your market and subtract the expected resale value of an Excellent Bobby. That value comes from the median EU asking price of Excellent-or-better listings in the last 90 days, as a share of the German retail reference. The page shows the result for three years and per year, and hides it below 10 listings.
