About this bag
Introduced in 2011 under Karl Lagerfeld, the Boy takes its name from Arthur "Boy" Capel, a figure closely tied to Gabrielle Chanel's early years. Its lines are squarer than those of the Classic Flap: a boxy body, a chunky chain and the Boy clasp in place of the turn-lock. Quilted leather is the most common version, though Chanel has made it in many materials and finishes. It comes in several sizes. Chanel sells it new only through its boutiques, so the New section carries our recorded boutique price, with source and date, and no shop link. Second-hand prices follow the leather, the colour, the hardware finish, the size, wear on corners and edges, and whether the set with box, dust bag and receipt is complete.

Can I buy the Chanel Boy online or from a retailer?
No. The Boy is sold new only in Chanel boutiques, and Chanel does not supply it to department stores or online shops. The New section therefore shows the boutique price we have recorded for your market, with source and date, rather than an offer to click.
What should I look for in a preloved Chanel Boy?
