One detail identifies the Constance from across a room: the large H-shaped clasp on its flap. It is carried on the shoulder or across the body on its strap, and Hermès makes it in numbered sizes, in a range of leathers and colours, with the clasp in different hardware finishes. The Constance is not offered on hermes.com, and boutique availability is limited, so the New section shows the boutique price we have recorded, with its source and date, rather than a retailer offer. In the preloved market, prices vary with size, leather, colour and hardware finish, with the condition of the polished H clasp, which shows scratches readily, with wear on the flap edges and corners, and with completeness: box, dust bag and receipt.
